Royal Albert Hall show Rehearsals

2011-03-21 RAH Rehearsals

Nearly time for the show of a lifetime – Squeeze with The Feeling at the Royal Albert Hall with a 30 piece orchestra – not the original line-up of East Side Story but still 30 years from its release. The show is tomorrow 22 March 2011.

AND – I have a spare ticket free for someone who’d like it and can’t afford it, so just send me a message through the contact page – okay?

How many Squeeze fans fit into a box?

A box at the Royal Albert Hall, that is. On 22 March 2011 the classic Squeeze album East Side Story will be 30 years old. Glenn and Chris have been planning to mark the special anniversary with a special tour or gig for quite some time – and have finally announced that they will play one night at the Royal Albert Hall on 22 March 2011 WITH THE ORIGINAL LINE-UP of Chris Difford, Glenn Tilbrook, John Bentley, Paul Carrack and Gilson Lavis. It’s all in aid of charity as proceeds will be donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Tickets aren’t on sale yet.

Fancy coming? It’s a twice in a lifetime experience – for those of us who saw the tour first time round!

John Bentley interview

I met John Bentley yesterday and took the chance to record an interview with him. He was charming and you can hear him talking in depth about how he feels to rejoin Squeeze, what it was like recording East Side Story, and his forthcoming solo album in my new feature “The Tickler Podcasts” at packetofthree.com – just click on tickler podcast.

Enjoy!
