I was at the Tyne Theatre gig and they were even better than I thought they’d be.Excellent song selection being especially impressed by Chris Difford’s solo stuff. Lots of banter with the crowd and as usual the chance to have a sing a long.I’ve been a fan since I saw Squeeze in 1975 at the Victoria Hall,Hanley,Stoke on Trent when they supported the Climax Blues Band. Both well aware that this was their first gig outside of London and I was impressed when I had a chat with them afterwards that they were genuinely saddened to hear that Colin Cooper{vocals & sax) and Pete Haycock(guitar & vocals)had passed away. Chris also seemed impressed that I remembered from the gig that they did ‘I Saw The Light’ and ‘Ain’t No Sunshine.’Top people who don’t take any of their fans for granted.
