Chris Difford will be holding a songwriting workshop on Saturday 30th January. It is by invitation only, but 5 pairs of tickets will be given away free!
All you have to do is enter at the British Music Experience website (you may want to uncheck the box that asks them to spam you…), and they will notify you by January 22 if you’ve won.
The workshop is described as “a unique, collaborative event for aspiring songwriters as well as fans of Chris, who will be providing a Q&A discussing his songwriting technique and his 30 year musical journey writing top 20 hits, and performing new material with some of his most loved songs.”
The only thing is, I can’t find any information about where it it is! David, do you know?

The British Music Experience is at the O2 in North Greenwich. It was previously known as the Millennium Dome. The British Music Experience is in the O2 Bubble which is the venue’s exhibition space.
I went there back in the summer of 2009 and still have my Lanyard.
It is worth a visit if anyone is thinking of going and is into “music” along with technology from the 50′s right through to today. Some of the clothes from various artists that are on display are TINY. Some good memorabillia and a chance to “play and record” yourself playing various instruments. For example, a set of drums or a guitar which are set up and you just follow the on screen prompts. Anything you “recorded” and various things you “scanned” as you went round the exhibition is then available to view or listen to when you get back home (online). As usual there is a”gift shop” on the way out….imagine my surprise ;-)
