Here’s the first Squeeze Spot the Difference Widget with a media player so you can have a first listen to see whether you can spot the difference between these re-recordings and the originals.

I don’t have my originals handy now, but I can tell some differences, especially on Slap and Tickle. Sounds overall tighter – a function I imagine of better recording or sound technology?

I would like to say “No, I can’t spot the difference” but I’d not be telling The Truth. I’m not saying they’ve Gone To The Dogs and I don’t want to be Wicked And Cruel but There Is A Voice inside me that wonders if they trully thought that the tracks were identical to the originals. I’ll only be Satisfied when I find the CD on the doormat The Day I Get Home, till then I’ll be Crying In My Sleep.

Any idea if / when the album is to be released in the UK.

No wonder it’s called “spot the difference”! Very difficult to tell but I think Some Fantastic Place has a different vocal…still extremely close to the original! Fantastic! Can’t wait to hear it!

i like….:) there are very subtle differences…. i think most notable is Chris found his “Croak” for Slap and Tickle, and Take me Im yours…. but yes..have to agree..instrumentally, is spot on….vocally..some differences…but……..absolutely wont deter me from buying it once released!! :)

  I agree with you, Kev, subtle differences in the vocals, instrumentals very close to the original. I have already pre-ordered mine on Amazon. I wonder if it really will be released on August 3rd!

I really enjoyed the sound of some of these. I think S&T sounds a lot better than the original! Looking forward to the release.

I received my promo cd of spot the difference a few days ago and have pre-ordered the full cd. I think they have done a really good job on them, they do sound really like the originals!

    I just happened to spot it on ebay from some seller who deals with all sorts of promo cds, so not sure how else to get hold of one to be honest! It has 5 tracks on: Take me, I’m yours, Goodbye Girl, Slap and Tickle, Up the junction and Some fantastic place. They really sound great, can’t wait for the full cd to arrive!
