It was a wonderful end to a wonderful tour on the final Sunday night performance of Spot the Difference 2010. The crowd was slightly more subdued than on the Saturday – maybe because a hardcore of true fans had bought their tickets for Saturday, booked their hotels, had a party and then gone home for work on Monday and missed the final night – maybe because the audience knew they had work tomorrow. For whatever reason, it was a more sedate and a more musical affair, with time to listen to John’s funky bass in Hourglass or Steven’s majestic keyboards in The Knack. Chris danced his socks off, Simon had a laugh posing in an ultra camp way for photographs mid-song and the management and crew gathered in the wings to watch, party and have their photograph taken by Danny Clifford.

At the end of the evening we all had a treat with the Squeeze Wish You a Merry Christmas video which had the band in stitches as they hadn’t seen it before and had to stand on stage laughing with the capacity audience. Many thanks to Snipturn for capturing it on video.

A great end to a great tour. Merry Christmas everyone.
