Tuesday night at the Anchor and Hope in Charlton – it’s a new year and the first Tuesday is greeted by a Tilbrook Tuesday – excellent! Some of the feint-hearted amongst the crowd may have been concerned when Glenn turned up with a huge songbook entitled “100 Greatest Country and Western Tunes.” Crying Time was the first song, followed by a dazzling array of country songs, Squeeze favourites, Handrix’s Angel and much, much more. Piccadilly, Untouchable, Parallel World, Walk Away, Letting Go and Goodbye Girl were favourites of mine but the outstanding track was Take Me I’m Yours on iPad with a choir voice for the keyboard sound. Classic! Simon drummed very loudly and the chemistry between him and Glenn was great to watch. Japan will have fun with them I’m sure.

There was a promise of more Tuesdays with the ‘Mime Tuesday’ one that could be fun together with the threatened return of electronic night.

Unmissable.

Yet another fantastic night, can’t wait for the next one! Thanks for the photos David & the clips Snip & Gill, I’m just reliving it all again :-) I wish that we lived a bit closer but each one has been worth every minute of the journeys

Snip, thank you so much for posting these videos. I need a Glenn fix to get me through a difficult winter. Woman’s World is especially fabulous, I saw Glenn perform it solo back in 2006 out here in Long Island -(The Boulton Center in Bay Shore, to be exact). Lovely, thanks again, it is much appreciated.
