Performing at a quaint Victorian theatre in the seaside town of Whitstable and introduced by his friend Nick Wilty Glenn Tilbrook’s never ending tour was a set of three halves? First off supported by San Diego based singer songwriter Steve Poltz whose unique and perhaps theatrical style had the audience captured (check out his website and wikipedia page) with even a song about a sewing machine. Second bit we had the following from Glenn solo (ish) Someone Else’s Bell, Monkey on You, Hourglass, a reworked Footprints, Bing a Bong lip-synched (and more) and Melody Motel. He was then joined by Dennis Greaves for Twit Twoo and A Little Understanding and finished with Up The Junction. The third part he was joined by Simon Hanson on percussion and Chris McNally playing Harmonium, Ukelele and Acoustic Bass with Glenn. The set was You See Me, Parallel World, Hostage, One For The Road, Best Of Times and Still, then Dennis back up for Chat Line Larry from the Co-operative album. Then some other new ones Peters Got A Plan, Rupert, Hello There sung by Chris, Kev and Dave sung by Simon followed by Persephone. For encore they were once again joined by Dennis and Steve to do Tempted and Take Me I’m Yours. There were some other little interesting bits which I will leave as a surprise but I understand that the set will change each night. The gig was also recorded and could be purchased on the night on cd or memory stick which I purchased but he wouldn’t sign for me! lol. Look forward to seeing the tour again at the end and perhaps sneak one in during the middle. Sarah x

  Brilliant write up Sarah. I was infront of you in the signing queue and had to laugh when Glenn “did” sign your cd but with the pen in his mouth. Always the entertainer.
