Managed to get to Southend to see the tour in flow rather than at the end. Sat in the most perfect centre front row balcony (I am used to being right at the front) made a bit of a change and was great to experience the whole gig stage experience rather than being level with the bands feet (esp Glenns green shoes). Set off with Bang Bang followed by several old songs singles and album tracks with my favourite being No Place Like Home from probably my favourite album. Loved the Squeeze take on a few of Chris and Glenns solo/Fluffer songs especially Still and Black Sheep. They finished the show with a kind of acoustic ensemble – walked off the stage still playing their instruments ready to sign goods purchased at the Pop Up Shop – including a CD recorded live from the show. Perfect band – Perfect Songs – Perfect Show – love ’em

That`s an interesting observation, Sarah. As someone who generally likes to be at the front for any band, I do get that, occasionally, it`s good to be a bit further back and actually appreciate the show, rather than being part of it!At Reading I did realise that I was missing all sorts of interesting things going on on the screen. However, if I get to another gig, i plan to be level with Glenn`s green shoes again!

I was there and loved it. The acoustic set was great fun and the different arrangements of the songs were good too! 1st time I’ve heard them do Cowboys are my hero’s and thought it fab! Bought the cd’s as well so all in all a good night!
