This was my first Squeeze gig, so pretty late on by most people’s standards! Funnily enough, it wasn’t my last … and I still have my “Have a Christmas Cracker with Squeeze” t-shirt!

What a gig this was. I went with 6 mates, don’t think any of us see each other until the end of the night. I remember a crowd of blokes, just to the left front of the stage, kept humming the intro to Black Coffee in Bed after every song. So, Squeeze, kept this song back until last and everyone went mad when they finally played it, especially the group of fellas at the front. I love Squeeze, just very clever song writing by Tifford / Tilbrook, every song tells a very easy to understand story and just proper catchy tunes. I was 20 back then (50 now) but my play lists always include this brilliant band songs.
