Review from the time….
Just got back from a fantastic gig….so tired (four hours sleep last night, busy day, stressful drive to Cardiff) yet also wired so I can’t sleep. An interesting venue in a converted church, but the sound was great, and the place packed by the time Glenn came on. He had a bit of a voice issue….found out at soundcheck he wasn’t quite right, and apologised for squeaking now and then, but actually he sounded pretty good most of the time. Much the same set as previously mentioned, though probably in a different order, with the addition of a Cat Stevens song and – sob – no Walk Away. As one might expect from a Welsh audience, there was plenty of singing along, and much appreciation for some virtuoso guitar performances – Voodoo
Chile behind the head was just amazing, though he didn’t use his teeth this time!
Afterwards I managed to nab him quickly before most had realised he’d joined the throng, and left clutching my signed copy of One For The Road….so that’s me sorted out for tomorrow!
