These are the lyrics from the album version of the song. The single has a slightly different lyric and arrangement. To confuse things further, the lyrics in “Song By Song” are an amalgam of both versions!
@tygre97, I like this version better. I like the way the fade out is instrumental as opposed to Chris and Glenn singing till the end. Brilliant song either way.
@catdad, Funny that, I prefer the single but agree about the end. I like the single because the percussion build up is more obvious with each verse. I’ve just uploaded “my” video to my YT site for this song.
There are three “Places” in which his Wife has moved to. Jersey, Guernsey and on the “6 Squeeze Songs” mini-LP, “Boston!”.
They often move her to Boston when they play live in the States. Being from Boston, I very much enjoyed this the first time I heard it in the 1980s, especially since I was in Philadelphia at the time..
