“Possibly the most gratifying aspect of the night was to see how they are both very much still on their game, not only in their reluctance to simply trade on past glories, but also the calibre of the performance. Apart from (maybe) ducking out of a couple of high notes in ‘Annie Get Your Gun’ late in the evening, Glenn’s voice was as strong as ever, and the virtuosity of his guitar playing was naturally more prominent than when they perform in a band setting. Chris Difford was never the most charismatic performer, but a few days after his 60th birthday he seemed to be really enjoying himself, which was not always the case.”
