A Round and A Bout – tour dates

I’m currently loading the complete archive of Squeeze tour dates onto packetofthree. It’ll take a while. It’s possible because of all the good work done in creating the booklet for the live album ‘A Round and A Bout’ 20 years ago which listed (almost) every gig date up to 1990.

I need your help for one tiny (but very important) detail. That is – I need to know the exact date of the Squeeze gig at Greenwich Borough Hall in April 1975. If you were there, if you have a ticket or flyer, if you have a diary entry, then please get in touch – leave a comment.

By the way, isn’t it about time ‘A Round and A Bout’ got a DVD release?

Would be good to see A round and a bout on DVD especially if it was the full gig with all the songs, as i think they did others such as Rose I said and Boogie Woogie country girl. Would love to hear the gig as i think they were at their best then.

A full gig would be brilliant. Even if those songs don’t make it onto a DVD it would be great to have audio recordings of them – it’s not often you get to hear ‘Rose I Said’ live. Out of the hundreds of live Squeeze recordings there seem to be very few of that tour – unless you know different?

  i have a few gigs with Rose i said in the set but nothing from that tour. i did used to have a copy of the full gig but it was very bad quality and not worth keeping.

  I bought a bootleg tape of the Hammersmith Odeon gig (15/01/1990) from a record fair a good few years ago. I’ve not played it in ages and don’t think the quality was that good. Songs included Love Circles, Rose I Said and Boogie Woogie (I think). I’ll have to dig it out and add it to my YT site at some point.
  What I find odd about the Round and About video is why Tempted doesn’t appear on it (apart from the very end). I can only assume that the Newcastle version didn’t come out very well. The version on the CD is one of Glenn’s best.

I’ve now loaded 2,028 posts with every tour date onto the site. They are all searchable through the search bar at the top – just enter the town, city, venue or date and you will get a list of gigs in date order.

The only ones missing are 2008 and 2009 gigs together with pre-2000 Glenn gigs and Chris’ solo gigs. They’ll be coming soon.
