The second UK single by Difford and Tilbrook from the Difford and Tilbrook album after the release of Loves Crashing Waves. The label of this promotional copy has the standard large A on the label with the words ‘Promotional Copy Not For Resale’, which perversely always increases the value to collectors.

It looks like A&M designed this picture sleeve for ‘Picking Up the Pieces’, which was the single in the USA, and then changed their minds at the last moment and couldn’t be bothered to design a different sleeve. That’s not showing much respect to their fans, is it? Unless, of course, you can tell me what picking up a jigsaw piece has to do with Hope Fell Down?
