Steve Nieve, Glenn, Pete Thomas, Keith Wilkinson… I’m thinking summer of ’92 when they did their seaside tour (I saw them at Cape Cod Melody Tent but kicked myself for missing Nantucket cos I was watching Paul Weller in NYC!) and Chris didn’t come with them…

  Brilliant! That’s what I think Paula. Now I really must find a decent audio recording of that tour as it’s an interesting line-up! I have the Nantucket show you mention from 24 July 1992 on 2CDs – although the quality isn’t that great it does have ‘The Day I Get Home’, ‘Womans World’, ‘Mumbo Jumbo’ and ‘Tough Love’ on it :)

Yes maybe 92, they had trashed a hotel in New York, and were ordered to do community service?

I remember seeing them in those white boiler suits at Celtic Park in Glasgow on Saturday 11 July 1992 (with Chris) supporting Bryan Adams. I have never worked out why they all wore the same outfit. It looked really strange on stage.

  Thanks for the memories Billy! I’d love to see a photograph of Chris in a white boiler suit! That would be one of the most amusing thing Chris did until he produced the album for Eddie Grundy from Radio 4’s The Archers!

I saw them in boiler suits on 14th July 1992 supporting Bryan Adams at Portman Road football ground Ipswich. Chris was not present. I think Glenn said he had a cold. I guessed that the idea of bolier suits for this tour (supporting B Adams) was because they were playing stadiums and it helped make them stand out on a large stage from a distance. Anyway, I thought they played a brilliant set and I have been a Squeeze/Chris & Glenn fan ever since.
