Released in November 1978, with “Saints Alive” as the b-side. A limited edition 3D sleeve was produced for approximately only 5,000 copies, and as the sleeve is easy to damage, copies in mint condition are difficult to find.
Record Collector: “What about the 3D picture sleeve for “Goodbye Girl”?”
Glenn Tilbrook: “Yes, that was a good one. That was strictly A&M-generated but we were very keen to do that, it was a great idea.”
