AMS 7523 UK 7″ picture sleeve red A&M label

Description

AMS 7523 UK 7″ picture sleeve red A&M label
Pulling Mussels (From the Shell) / What the Butler Saw
Released on 9th May 1980.

This version has the red labels which are more commonly found on the red vinyl version.

“What the Butler Saw” was the b-side because of Miles Copeland’s success in keeping what would have been one of the outstanding tracks on “Argy Bargy” off the LP. He thought it was “too MOR”. Another heroic failure of a chart position at number 44 in the UK, with only a 6 week chart run. Everyone thinks it’s a classic now, but nobody bought it at the time. Also released in Belgium (July 1980) and Denmark (June 1980).
